not very fun or engaging to play
play a bunch of zoo games (dragonvale, tiny monsters, tiny zoo, & dream zoo) and have to say this is my least favorite, except for tap zoo 2, which I deleted. the user interface is bad, and it takes way too long to do things like send gifts to friends and collect money/feed animals. I understand that the point of a zoo game is to collect money/maintain the zoo, so it doesn't make sense to have a single button to collect; however, the delay/lag for collecting is too slow. it should be an instantaneous/quick thing so that you can collect efficiently. my biggest complaint seems to be shared by many others is that too many of the quests and animal purchases require gems, and you have no way to earn them besides buying them with real money, which i wouldn't do for this game because i don't like it enough. i think you should be able to progress far enough in the game without gems (or earning them at a slow rate through the game) for it to be interesting; you might even entice people to buy gems then because they would find the game more compelling. as it stands now, i avoid playing often because of the frustrating gameplay experience. it takes too long to do anything, and besides, i have no gems so i can't do much anyway. oh, and the constant pop-up ads are also annoying. it's too bad because the game could be so much better. 2 positives/stars: 1. i like the visual look of the game---very cute animals! 2. i like that you can communicate with other players. *** Also, I'm a bit obsessed with zoo/farming animal/creature/monster games and am playing/have played quite a few. Here is my overall ranking/list of all the ones I've tried for comparison purposes: Highly Recommended: 1. Dragonvale: My all-time favorite; I'm addicted and love it! 2. Tiny Zoo Friends: This has kept my attention for a long time suprisingly; like the frequent updates; wish that purchases requiring zoo bucks were cheaper and not necessary for completing so many quests/collections; new cubbies are pretty cute. Ok, but not great: 3. Tiny Monsters: lamer version/rip-off of DV; I am still playing it regularly because the monsters are cute, but find it to be way more frustrating and ungratifying than DV, plus, I hate that it's a rip-off of DV 4. Dream Zoo: I was into this when I first started but have gradually lost interest; having to clean/feed animals in order to get hearts/breed animals gets old pretty fast 5. Pethouse: this is cute for what it is, but it requires too many acorns to buy interesting animals and doesn't allow you to earn them very quickly. It's also kind of slow/boring 6. Zoo Story 2: I played this until my zoo size was maxed out, and then I got bored and have stopped playing. It takes WAY too long to collect money, and anything that costs gems are prohibitively expensive/gems too hard to earn. 7. Dragon Story: yet another DV rip-off; I'm sure it could be fine if I weren't already so obsessed w/ DV, also don't like that it's a rip-off obviously; I played briefly but lost interest at level 3. The graphics were less appealing to me than DV or Tiny Monsters Not Recommended: 8. Tap Zoo 2: I hated this game and deleted it from my phone. It was hard to progress without spending real money, and it wasn't that appealing besides that.
